CUR EMPOWERING YOUTH FOR A SAFER FUTURE

As part of its mission to promote academic excellence and social responsibility, the Catholic University of Rwanda, through NMSAR CUR, organized an educational session on Reproductive Health Education and Gender-Based Violence at TTC Save on 11th May 2026. The event brought together 935 students and school leaders in a dynamic discussion focused on teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, personal hygiene, equality, and respect for human rights.

The initiative provided students with valuable knowledge and practical life skills to help them make responsible decisions, build healthy relationships, and become active promoters of peace and dignity within society. By addressing real social challenges affecting young people, CUR continues to prepare students not only for academic success, but also for ethical leadership and responsible citizenship.

The impact of the program extends beyond the classroom to the wider community. Through awareness and prevention education, the initiative contributes to reducing violence, strengthening mutual respect, promoting safer environments, and encouraging healthy living among youth. Such outreach activities reinforce CUR’s commitment to sustainable community development and its vision of forming competent graduates dedicated to transforming society positively in Rwanda and beyond.
