The Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) proudly hosted representatives from the University of Parma (Italy), Prof. Antonio BONACARO and Dr. Mauro PAROZZI, a Research Fellow in Nursing, from 11 to 17 October 2025, as part of the dynamic collaboration under the UNITAFRICA, ACHIEVIT, and KA171 projects. This visit once again highlighted CUR’s strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and international partnership.
CUR AND UNIVERSITY OF PARMA STRENGTHENED EXCELLENCE IN NURSING EDUCATION


Throughout the week, the professors delivered engaging lectures in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Research in Nursing, equipping CUR students with global perspectives, advanced clinical insights, and modern approaches to healthcare. Their motivational talks inspired students to think globally and pursue professional growth beyond borders.

The professors also visited students on clinical placements at CHUB Hospital, strengthening the bridge between theory and practice. In addition, they held fruitful meetings with the Faculty of Health Sciences to explore new opportunities for joint research, publications, grant applications, and academic mobility.

This successful exchange enriched both students and lecturers, enhanced the quality of nursing education, and reaffirmed CUR’s position as a hub for health sciences and international academic collaboration.
