EDUCATION ROOTED IN REMEMBRANCE, COMPASSION, AND UNITY: INSPIRED BY THE LEGACY OF NYANGE

On 10 May 2025, students and staff from the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) conducted a meaningful visit to the genocide memorial in Nyange: Nyange Genocide Memorial, which commemorates the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and Igicumbi cy'Ubunyarwanda, the memorial for the Nyange students tragically killed on 18 March 1997 for refusing to divide along ethnic lines. This profound experience reaffirmed our deep commitment to the values of remembrance, compassion, and unity pillars upon which our mission as an institution firmly stands.
