At CUR, remembrance and compassion go hand in hand in shaping our academic journey. Remembrance connects us to our history, reminding us of the cost of division and the value of peace. Compassion fosters a spirit of empathy and responsibility, guiding how we learn, teach, and live together. Together, these values help us educate students who are not only intellectually prepared but also morally grounded to contribute to a peaceful and united Rwanda.

During the visit, our university community listened to the powerful testimony of the heroic Nyange students, young Rwandans who, even in the face of death, refused to be divided. Their unwavering courage continues to echo across generations, reminding us that true education must shape both the intellect and the conscience.

At CUR, education transcends textbooks and lectures. It is a transformative journey that nurtures empathy, responsibility, and active citizenship. Inspired by the legacy of Nyange, we are committed to forming graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also deeply human ready to lead with integrity, serve with compassion, and uphold the values that unite us as one people.
