‎The partnership will also benefit local communities through research and outreach initiatives that address real social and environmental challenges. Activities will contribute to the preservation of Rwanda’s cultural and natural heritage, the promotion of public health, environmental protection, social cohesion, and sustainable development.
For CUR, the agreement strengthens its national and international visibility, expands opportunities for collaboration and research funding, and supports the establishment of a UNESCO Chair. It further positions the University as a center of excellence serving Rwanda, the region, and the global academic community.
For the Rwanda National Commission for UNESCO, the partnership provides a strong academic platform to advance UNESCO’s priorities in education, science, culture, communication, and sustainable development.
By combining their strengths, CUR and CNRU are creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and communities while contributing to a more innovative, inclusive, and sustainable future for Rwanda.
