On 26 May 2026, the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR), Taba Campus, organized a Career Day and Talk to help students prepare for life after graduation. The event aimed to bridge the gap between university education and the world of work by giving students the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals.
‎CUR CAREER DAY 2026: PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE
The event brought together CUR alumni, entrepreneurs, employers, and other partners who shared their experiences, career journeys, and practical advice. Their testimonies helped students better understand the opportunities and challenges they may face after completing their studies. CUR students also presented their achievements and career development projects, demonstrating the skills and knowledge they have gained during their academic journey.
The Career Day provided many benefits to students, including career guidance, networking opportunities, increased confidence, and a better understanding of the job market. It also encouraged students to think about entrepreneurship and innovation as possible career paths.
The event benefited the wider community by strengthening collaboration between the university, employers, and local organizations. It helped create connections that can lead to internships, employment opportunities, and community development initiatives.
Through activities like Career Day, CUR continues to prepare graduates who are competent, responsible, and ready to contribute positively to society and the development of Rwanda.
