From 2 to 12 June 2026, Fr. PSYCHOLOGY BEYOND BORDERS: CUR EXPANDS ITS GLOBAL REACH AND IMPACT
A key highlight of the visit was participation in the international conference “Psychology Beyond Borders,” a prestigious platform bringing together universities, researchers, and specialized centres dedicated to advancing mental health, inclusion, and psychological well-being worldwide. Through this network, CUR contributes its expertise through the Neurodivergence Centre, which supports children with diverse cognitive and behavioural profiles, promoting inclusive education and equal opportunities for learning.
The visit reinforced the strategic partnership between CUR and the University of Parma, creating new opportunities for collaborative research, academic exchange, staff development, and student mobility. By engaging with leading international experts, CUR continues to enrich its teaching and research environment while ensuring that its programmes remain aligned with global standards and emerging educational needs.
CUR students are among the direct beneficiaries of these partnerships. During the visit, the Vice Chancellor met four CUR students who are currently undertaking a three-month internship at the Ospedale Maggiore (Main Hospital) in Parma, where they are gaining valuable clinical exposure, professional competencies, and intercultural experience in a highly specialized healthcare environment.
This collaboration demonstrates CUR’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and internationalization while delivering tangible benefits to communities through improved educational services, inclusive practices, and impactful research. As CUR continues to build strong global partnerships, it remains dedicated to shaping competent professionals and transformative leaders for Rwanda and beyond.
