Academic and cultural exchange, research collaboration
The Memorandum of Agreement between Kent State University (KSU), USA, and the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR), Rwanda, establishes a cooperative partnership to strengthen academic and cultural exchange. Its main objective is to promote mutual advancement in education, research, and intercultural understanding through structured student and faculty exchanges, joint academic activities, and collaborative research.
Planned activities include: exchange of students for study abroad and degree programs; faculty exchange for teaching and research; organization of joint seminars, conferences, and degree completion programs; hosting of visiting faculty; sharing academic materials; and producing joint research and publications. Liaison officers from both sides will coordinate each program, with details set through written amendments.
Benefits to CUR include access to KSU�s advanced academic resources, exposure to U.S. teaching and research practices, increased international visibility, enhanced English language proficiency for students, and expanded study opportunities abroad.
